The year 2013-2014 has been an eventful one for the school with a string of successes. It has created a niche for itself by remaining unique, which is the biggest challenge and the toughest battle.

By the grace of God, the school continues with its excellent academic record of hundred percent result in both the ICSE and ISE examinations. It is indeed a proud privilege to state that since its inception 28 batches of ICSE and 10 batches ISC have appeared for the examinations respectively.

Hardwork coupled with perseverance has enabled the school to be credited with the highest percentage of 95.80% in the ICSE and 95% in ISC.

The first batch was presented in the year 1984, and the result was quite encouraging. The students strength grew fast and the number of students appearing for the ICSE examination also increased every year. Cent percent pass result in all the subsequent years has made the school very popular.

Co-curricular and extra curricular activities form an integral part of our life at St.Jude’s

The Computer Society of India Organized a Young Talent search in Computer Programming at Chennai, where St.Jude’s Public School was one among the 6 best teams out of 250 teams chosen to participate in the National level.

In the TCS Quiz ‘WIZ 2013’ conducted at Coimbatore, Anushya Prabha and Zion Philemon Antony were placed second among 400 teams. Prizes worth Rs 23,000 were given to each of them. The School has been winners for four consecutive years and runners-up for the past three years.

IT Quiz 2014

IT Genius Nilgiris 2014 was conducted by the Lion Club of Ootacamund and Computer World, Ooty, on the 8th of February 2014 at Breeks Memorial Auditoriium, Ooty. Top teams from the Nilgiris vied with one another for supremacy. After 6 rounds of battle, our students emerged winners bringing home the first title of the year.

Our students have a track record of excelling in sports and games.


In the district Table Tennis Tournament held at the Kerala Samajan, Coonor, conducted by NDTTA, G.P.Vishnu of the Junior Division and J.Pranav of the sub-Junior division were the runners-up. In the open Men’s category L.Dinesh was declared the winner.

In the district level open Table Tennis tournament conducted by Katima Sports Academy, Ashwin Balaji was the runner up in sub junior division and G.P Vishnu was the runner up in junior division. G.P Vishnu and L.Dinesh played in Mens Doubles category and they were the runners up.


In the District Chess Tournament conducted at Brindavan Public School, Coonoor, Our competitors secured the first, second and fifth places in all four divisions.

In the under 17 category, Chess tournament conducted by the YMCA, Rahul Vignesh and Sushmitha secured the first and second places.

In the under 15 category our students won the first, third, fourth and fifth places of 206 students who participated. They were adjudged the champions of the year.


In Badminton conducted by the Sports Authority of India held in Ooty Tia Ann and Namitha were the winners of the under 19 category.

In the under 19 singles category Tia Ann emerged as winner of the year.


In the District Open Level Athletic Meet held at HADP, Ooty, our students bagged many prizes.


The crowning glory, the achievement of the year was in the Regional Athletic Meet of ICSE and ISC schools, titled as the Youth Olympic Games, conducted at Coimbatore on 19th and 20th of September where our children emerged overall champions in the ICSE boys and girls and ISC boys and girls division.

We were rated as the best in all sports based on school’s performance in Tamil Nadu Regional championship.

Our Junior boys, senior boys and girls won the individual championships.

Forty athletes were chosen to represent the National Athletic Meet to be held in November this year.


Our junior football team won the Regional Championship of Tamil Nadu and represented Tamil Nadu in the National Level played against Orissa and Bihar at Siliguri were placed third and won Bronze Medals.


The Senior volley ball team won the Regional Championship of Tamil Nadu. P. Chandu was adjudged as the best player. Our team participated in the National Level at Satara in Maharashtra on 20th October 2013 and won the Gold medal beating the top teams in the country.

Hillfort School conducted Independence day volley ball tournament in which our boys and girls won the championship


The Leo club of St.Jude's was adjudged as the best for the year 2012-2013 for its outstanding service and R.K.Gowtham of St.Jude’s was honoured as the best President.
