>Onam, the harvest festival of the people from 'God's own country' was celebrated with the usual pomp and gaiety. The school hall was colourfully decorated with the 'Onam Pookolam', the traditional rangoli. The celebration started at 11:30 with the lighting of the traditional kuthuvillaku by the Chairman, Principal, Executive Director, Vice Principal, Head Boy and Head Girl. The special guest on this occasion was Rev. Fr. Gnanadhas, the Parish Priest of St. Mary's Church, Kotagiri. Rev. Father too lit the traditional lamp. It was a colourful event with songs, dances, skits and speeches from the Kerala population of the school. Mr. Chandran, spoke of the reason how Onam came to be celebrated. The Chairman spoke on the importance and need for all the people to stay together for the welfare of Humanity. Rev. Father spoke on the uniqueness of each human being. The colourful event came to an end with the traditional Sadya.
