AHESSN ATHLETIC MEET – 2022
The 70th Annual Athletic meet conducted on behalf of the Association of the Heads of the English-Speaking Schools of the Nilgiris and Kodaikanal was held between 7th September to 10th September at Good Shepherd International School, Ooty with its usual pomp and glory.
31 schools of the association vied with one another to reign supreme. The athletes braved all odds and exhibited the true sportsman spirit. It was a treat to watch the budding athletes after a gap of 2 years.
The final days event was well attended by all the Heads of Association Schools and Brig. Anurag Bharadwaj Brig. IC Adm. DSSC Wellington was the Chief Guest of the day.
Mr. K Saravana Chandar - Headmaster of Breeks Memorial School and the President of the Association welcomed the gathering.
The final days events were contested with vitality and were enthusiastically contested by all the budding athletes. At the end of the day, the most prestigious and coveted winners shield among boys’ schools was won by St. Jude’s Public School and Junior College, Kotagiri with 192.5 points and St. Josephs college, Coonoor finished runner-up with 172 points.
Among the girls’ schools, St. Jude’s won the runners up shield, while the winner’s trophy was won by Nazareth convent, Ooty.

The Chairman of the school, Dr. P.P Dhanarajan and the Executive Director, Dr. Samjith Dhanarajan congratulated the winners. Dr. Saro Dhanarajan, Principal congratulated the winners and the coaches - Mr. Prabhu and Mrs. Vanaja Shekar.
